Natalia studies hard and wants to be a scientist. Otto runs fast and dreams of becoming a soccer player. Amoni exudes confidence and wants to be a driver. Emelind is soft spoken and kind, often helping care for the younger girls. Each child has a name and a story to tell. Their young lives have already been filled with struggles - the struggle to find food, the struggle of an unstable home life, the struggle of the brutally hot and demanding climate in which they live. Life in the dust is not easy, yet their hearts and minds are filled with love and hope and energy, just like children all around the world. They play soccer, they draw, they study, they fight, they hug, they eat together, play together, laugh together, cry together. They are a community.
